The following is the reply of DG ISI in the Supreme Court of Pakistan in Memogate case. We could only confirm this from one source and therefore shall not be taken as final until made public by Supreme court or original source.

Respectfully submitted;
1. Respondent No 7 has not received any petition till now. However, in compliance with the orders of the Honorable Court dated 1.12.2011 reply is submitted herein:
2. Media Wing of ISI brought to my notice the piece published in the Financial Times on the 10th of October. It was written by Mr Mansoor Ejaz. The writer had, in this article, criticised the ISI's role and suggested some actions against the Organization. This was usual anti ISI rhetoric.
3. But I did find the opening paragraph of this piece quite unusual and damaging. It mentioned that a senior Pakistani official had been attempting to pass on a message to senior US leaders indicating imminence of a military takeover in Pakistan. The whole thing looked intriguing. I concluded that no one could write such a piece so blatantly unless he had some evidence to support his assertions. I, therefore, tasked my sources to know about Mr Mansoor Ijaz and find out if he would agree to share the information about the purported Memorandum.
4. It was confirmed to me by my sources that Mr Mansoor ijaz was ready to share the information but only with the Director General and also not in Pakistan. He insisted that the meeting shall be without any aides on both sides. Accordingly, a meeting was thus planned and took place in London on 22nd of October 2011.
5. Mr Mansoor Ijaz briefed me that our Ambassador in Washington had gotten in touch with him and remained in communication about the contents and delivery of the Memo to the relevant US authorities. He also showed me the proof of a large number of messages sent through BlackBerry which had been exchanged between our Ambassador in Washington and him regarding the document, which later came to be known as the Memorandum. He explained to me in fair amount of details about the circumstances leading to the drafting of Memo and why it was delivered through him. I told him, that I could not believe him unless I saw his BlackBerry and Computer myself to form an opinion that the messages were really exchanged between the two individuals. Having seen these means of communication used, I was satisfied that he had enough corroborative material to prove his version of the incident. He insisted that he will present the details of the evidence himself before a commission or court of law, if asked to do so.
6. I left London the next evening and reported my findings verbally to the Chief of Army Staff on 24th October 2011.
7. I met the Honorable President of Pakistan on 18th of November 2011 when this matter also came under discussion and I briefed him on what, according to my assessment, the facts were. I also suggested to him the issue pertained to National Security and should not be taken lightly. I suggested to the President that it will be in the fitness of things to ask our Ambassador in Washington to verify or contradict the matter.
8. The Respondent has the honor to lead ISI, an organization that stands in forefront, particularly during the peace time, to safeguard the security of the Country as well as the honor and respect of its people. Men and women under command of the Respondent continue to risk their lives and those of their children to positively contribute to the overall security calculus of the Country. All our efforts are geared towards that end.
9. The Respondent, in his humble personal capacity, maintains that access to unadulterated truth and justice is a right of the people of Pakistan, the real sovereign masters of this Country. To this end, Honorable Court may, if deemed appropriate, graciously consider the following:-
a. May kindly summon Mr Mansoor Ijaz to appear before the Honourable Court as he alone holds the real evidence, as claimed by him. He has already, at a number of occasions, indicated his willingness to do so, through the print and electronic media.
b. May kindly demand forensic examination of the computers and all the cell phones and Black Berry Telephones used since May 2011 till date by the both, Mr Mansoor Ijaz and our Ex Ambassador to the US.
c. May kindly consider retrieval of the Call Record Data related to this incident from the Black Berry as well as other service providers, if any.
10. Under the circumstances, the answering Respondent shall comply with all the directions given by this Honorable Court in the matter and render necessary assistance to its appointed commission whenever so required.

Subject: Memo-Gate Scandal, Pakistan's Security and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani /Asif Ali Zardari's 'War Against Pak Armed Forces and Pakistan
Honorable Commanders of the Armed Forces of Islamic Republic of Pakistan
Assalam Alikum, As an Overseas Pakistani ( Jiss Ka Laasha Europe main, Lekin Rooh Sohni Dharti aur iss k Baasioon saath ) and member of the International Human Rights Commission, I would like to bring some issues of my great concerns, pertaining to our National Security, Stability and Existence of our Motherland.
1. After the unfortunate incidents of 9/11 and the Crusade (so called War On Terror ), started by George Bush and Tony Blair, which I believe besides USA's policies of Global Hegemony, is infect 'War Against Pakistan', the only Atomic Power in the Muslim World (this is what I have been openly saying and condemning during International Conferences and Seminars, here in the Legal Capital of the World, The Hague, because I believe it's my moral, religious obligation to say the truth, even in front of Tyrants ). I can claim that no one else (including our diplomatic mission) but this humble Son of Soil and Servant of Pakistan, have been always on the forefront, and front-line.
2. After Pakistan's Nuclear test of May 28 1998, when Europe, including Netherlands decided to introduce Economic Sanctions against Pakistan, again it was me who defended our motherland on a one of the most favorite Current Affairs TV debate over India and Pakistan as Nuclear States , by the grace of Almighty Allah, I could defeat my Indian counter part, and then I met the members of foreign affairs committee of the Netherlands Parliament of all political parties, warning them not to do that, because that would have effected the people of Pakistan (again I was fighting all alone, while our diplomats were relaxing).
3. I even didn't spare the Director General of The Military Operations of the Netherlands, during a debate on Afghanistan, saying " This is not a 'War on Terror', but to produce terrorism, you have made Afghanistan A Hatchery of Terrorism, which is being exported to Pakistan, In Pakistan we never knew over 'extremism/fanaticism and Suicide Attacks, but your war on terror is making Pakistan to bleed, your Drone Attacks are butchering our civilians, you are terrorizing hundreds of thousands to flee from their homes to save themselves from the Devil Drones ", this is what I said in the presence of the Dutch Parliament Members, members of the Dutch Armed Forces (sitting in their uniforms) and in front other participants.
4. During a International Conference on Nuclear Security and Nonproliferatio n "Nuclear Dilemmas: Present and Future", which was opened by the Dutch Foreign Minister, attended by more then 248 delegates from all over the world including Washington DC, NATO, Ambassadors around the globe, Armed Forces Generals, Allah provided me opportunity to defend Pakistan by criticize the 'status of Pakistan as a Fragile State' given by the West and the USA, saying "you are mentioning Pakistan and North Korea as one of the most dangerous and fragile states and talking about the 'nuclear regime and protection of the nuclear weapons, declaring them fragile with 'purpose', why don't you talk about other nuclear states"( once again non of the representatives from our embassy were present, while this was one the most relevant conference and opportunity to talk over, even ambassador of Iran could rise to defend, sitting next to me !!
5. Few months back I met Ex Secretary of State of USA Madeline Al-bright, the moment I shook hands with her, she had to say this, "Pakistan is the most dangerous country of the world", I kept her hand in my hands for next almost 10 minuets and asked "madam who made it"?,then I said it's the result of our cooperation with the West and USA, so madam don't you think it's your moral duty to help Pakistan to come out of this situation"? Her reply was "we want to, but we don't know, who is our partner in Pakistan"!! At the same occasion I met with 2 ex-foreign ministers of the Netherlands and asked them the same questions, "tell us how can we help Pakistan"? they asked me and I was looking around, if our Ambassador is around, but he wasn't there (almost all ambassadors in The Hague were present)!
6. This all says, this so called democratic (most of them are even fully unaware of the definition of the word democracy in their believes and deeds) government, whose duty is to defend Pakistan's Interests all over the world. I as individual am fully aware of the threats against our country and know that 'Bush/Blair' Agenda to destabilize the region, especially Pakistan is still intact, and never leave any opportunity to speak on behalf of Pakistan and her interests but those who are in the helm of affairs have different agenda, as I never ever recognized, accepted acknowledge Nawab Shah's Play Boy as President of Pakistan, knowing him and his family very well, learning over his darkest sides from, not less then his own mother-in-law late Begum Nusrat Bhutto, who during her daughters 2nd tenure visited me twice and stayed with me ( in 1994 and then in 1995 both times for more then a week), I wish I will ever be able to tell our nation and specially those Jialas, who still believe that late Benazir Bhutto was a democrat! I wish I could tell the masses the comments of Begum Nusrat Bhutto over her own daughter and son-in-law. Besides I believe the illness of Begum Nusrat Bhutto wasn't a natural illness, I would love to hold responsible Asif Ali Zardari and even Benazir Bhutto for the slow poisoning of Begum Nusrat Bhutto (special medication, to keep a person silent), this all they done, to keep her mouth shut, first after the forced removal of her as life-chairperson of the PPP by Benazir Bhutto and then, after the murder of Mir Murtaza Bhutto ( the murder, Begum Bhutto would have named Asif Ali Zaradri as arch conspirator, ini tiator ) both Benzir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari knew that Begum Bhutto won't be sparing them, I wish an autopsy of the body of Begum Bhutto was done, so that the one, who is occupying Presidency, should have been thrown in to the prison cell, I wish !!
7. There are rumors that Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan ( long ago he used to call him self as my 3rd brother ) is the next choice of the of Nawab Shahs multi billionaire stock broker, as prime minister of Pakistan, again this would be another terrible development for Pakistan, aren't we fully aware, that it was Mr.Aitzaz Ahsan, who as federal Interior Minister, compiled a list of the 'Sikh Freedom Fighter', and handed over to the Indian's, who committed genocide of thousands of Sikhs in the Indian Punjab, God why we Pakistani have very short memories, Why God !!
8. Now coming to the very recent speech of Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, which reminded me the speech of late Zulifqar Ali Bhutto, in the United Nations at the time of the resolution by Poland for the cease fire in East Pakistan, rejected and teared by Mr.Bhutto, which at least might have saved our soldiers from becoming POW's at the hands of Indian Army. How can we ignore the suffocating facts, that it was Mr.Z.A. Bhutto who deprived Sheikh Mujibur Rehman from taking oath as Pakistan's elected prime minister, the Military action in the East Pakistan was also a 'brain-child'of the Fakhr-e-Asia, which paved way for him to fulfill his ambitions to rule (as the prince of Machiavelli) and to achieve this all, break of Pakistan was a 'must requirement', besides to let our Armed Forces to see the worst kind of humiliation, so that he could stay few more years in the power!!!
8. Listening Mr.Gillani, was a source of 'earth quack' in my body, I felt my heart and soul being crushed, that it's PPP again, starting a vicious and dirty war against our Armed Forces, Watching him and listening him I tried me best to realize, that prime minister of Pakistan is addressing the parliament but unfortunately I have to say, "it was a speech of a agent of Bush and Blair Agenda (need not to mention, as its a open-secret), Mr.Gillani was facilitating the opinion of the International Community, which ultimately, God forbids would get a resolution passed by the security council of the UN, against Pakistan in the future scenario (according to the agenda) . Nothing else but I would call it as "open treason, treason against the Armed Forces of Pakistan, treason against the stability and existence of our motherland, treason against the constitution of Pakistan and treason against people of Pakistan". The most powerful USA, UK and other couldn't damage, degrade, disgrac e, humiliate our Armed Forces but the style and aggressiveness of Mr.Gillani could !!! Of course not alone, it's a planed strategy and conspiracy to demoralize our Armed Forces, the One and Only Disciplined Institution, which is able, capable to defend Pakistan, in the times when both internal and external threats are in working/making and being performed, it's the Armed Forces who have delayed Bush' Agenda to destabilize Pakistan and to (God forbids) destroy Pakistan's Atomic Capacity!! I wish I could write in more !!!
9. I can only mention another 2 names Asma Jehangir and her sister Hina Jillani, both have very soft corner for Asif Ali Zardari and are known supporters of the PPP regime, Asma Jehangir who is trying to save the co-conspirator of the Memo Gate, Mr.Hussain Haqqani, a year and half ago she and I , along with ambassador of Pakistan and some other diplomats from the USA, Australia, Germany, Italy etc were attending a seminar over human rights, Asma Jehangir done her best pleasing the diplomats, criticizing Islamic Values,Pak Culture,Institu tions, while I had to counter her, defending our national values and institutions ( she came to get some award on her services).
10. Her sister MS. Hina Jillani went even further, at the start of this year, she visited here, during a International Conference on Human Rights and over the role of the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court of The Hague, in presence of more then one thousand participants (law experts, human Rights experts,Judges of local and International Courts, diplomats, govt officials etc) I stood up and criticized the bubble standards of the ICC and the selective justice, by saying "Mr.Chief Prosecutor why don't you get Bush and Blair, who are responsible for million of deaths,in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, why don't you talk about Drone Attacks, which are killing my people every day, why don't you issue arrest warrants against George Bush and Tony Blair"?? Hina Jillani was sitting few seats next to me, and did not participated in the debate, at the end we met, her Dutch hosts and others were standing around, "Why don't you criticize Pakistan's Army, why haven't you said any thing over the Pakistani Army"?? these were her words, I had no other choice but to clash with her asking "why should I criticize Pakistan's Army, why would I have even commented over Pakistan's Army, while issue was Human Rights, Role of ICC and the Chief Prosecutor, even "! I told her, you kept quite to save your face (perhaps to get another award) while you had an opportunity to talk over the victimization of Pakistan. I wish both sisters could ever get rid of prejudice against our Armed Forces.
Although I do believe that democracy (in her real sense and not Pakistani Democracy, where politicians and rulers have been, are involved in at the highest levels of corruption) is one the reasonable choice for our country, but in present circumstances and Geo-Political Scenario, I very honestly, humbly believe, that without a upper-hand, stronger role of PAK Armed Forces, State of Pakistan would enter in to the most dangerous scenario, which would result in to real threats to her federation, if these people remain in power. The survival of Pakistan is only in national solidarity, harmony and the 'role of the Armed Forces', needs to be re-defined and legalized, constitution of Pakistan needs to be amended for this.
The removal of both, the occupant of the President House and Prime Minister House is a must before their devilish agenda to create frictions, within Armed Forces by announcing some new appointments ( which they are working day and night ) in a hope to stay few more years in Luxury.
I assure your office, for my best cooperation in regard to the national integrity, unity ,solidarity and security not only in Pakistan but all over the world, because War on Terror is the real enemy and obstacle towards world peace and justice, which is ultimately increasing the violations of human rights. Stability of Pakistan means stability of the region and the world, any action to destabilize Pakistan would destabilize the peace on earth.
At the end I would say that , my love for the Khaki is above any doubts and measurements, and my hatred against the 'Traitors of Sohni Dharti', is equally above any doubts and measurements.
May the Almighty Allah Bless you All and Bless our Motherland and save her from her enemies.
With My Profound Regards,
Khalid Ahmed Chaudry
